Hello! We are Lucrecia and Camila, and we are looking for our FUR-ever home. We come as a pair because we are bonded. We love to play with each other, and with our pack mate; we are skeptical of other dogs, but we think we just need to be given an opportunity to meet them, and understand that they are part of our pack. We can get pretty intense when we play, but we do not fight. We are obedient, and we listen to our foster parents. We are VERY smart. And, we get REALLY excited when you come out to say hi, and visit with us. But, we are sure that if you teach us how NOT to get so excited when you come to say hi, or teach us how to be more calm, I am sure we will learn quickly. I, Lucrecia, will greet you by jumping on you, and will fill you with kisses—it’s my way of saying thank you for all that you do for us! I, Camila, will jump on you too, but I won’t stay for all the kisses like Lucrecia. Instead, I just move away, sit, look back at you, and yelp with excitement! But both of us, will settle down once you give us some love. If you stick around outside with us, then we will give you your space. And, if you happen to be out of our line of sight, then we will look to see if you’re still outside with us or not.
While we normally run free outside in the patio, we have learned about a crate, and we like to go in there. We go in there for bedtime, and we do well in there until you wake up. Or until I, Camila, lets you know that we need to go potty. I am also very good at letting you know when I see that something is awry. We have also learned that when we are put in the crate, it is to keep us safe from extreme cold, heat, or rain. And, we know that we are given potty breaks when we are in there for safety.
We would LOVE to be members of your family, and can’t wait to meet you! We are up to date with our vaccines and have been started on preventatives. We aren’t spayed yet, but we know our foster parents are working hard on that soon. I, Lucrecia, have some unwelcome worms in my heart, but my foster parents have started me on a slow-kill treatment, and they give me my preventative every month. They also give me another preventative against mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks—that’s what the vet said I need while on this treatment. All in all, I am doing well with this treatment. I, Camila, am fortunate to be free of any unwelcome worms, and my foster parents have me on a preventative that keeps me safe from worms, mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks.
We hope you like our story, and we can’t wait to hear from you! Our foster parents welcome any questions you may have about us. They want to be sure that we will be happy and safe with you. Give them a call, shoot them a text, or send them an e-mail if you want to know more about us, or if you to meet us.

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
