Trigger has now been with his foster family for almost two months and it is crazy that no one has snatched this beautiful boy up! Trigger has the BEST temperament around everyone he meets. If you happened to do some holiday shopping at Macys at the Domain in Austin, you may have met him. He pulled several shifts at Macys and it seemed to be his favorite place. He made himself at home and absolutely loved all the pets and attention he received. Trigger absolutely loves kids and is extremely gentle with them. He is the best companion as he aims to please so much. He loves going for car rides now and is a model ambassador of the breed out in public. For being less than 2 years old, Trigger amazes people with how quiet and sweet he is. But boy does he love to pal around with the resident GSD in his foster home. It would be great to find him a home with another animal he can play with. Trigger does very well with daily walks (45 min to an hour) and is a great jogging partner! He knows sit and is learning lay and shake. He is quick to learn and is incredibly loyal. For his age, Trigger has amazing potential to be a life-long permanent best friend for the right family. He hopes that family is yours!!
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog.
