Semper is a handsome, well behaved dog. We have constantly received compliments on his demeanor and obedience in the short period that he has been with us. He is very good with children and other dogs. He has in the last two weeks participated in the Texas Mighty Dog Walk on the 23rd of March and hiked up and down and around Enchanted Rock on the 30th of March with a brood of children ranging in ages from 5 to 11. He has a wonderful disposition, and can melt your heart with those big beautiful brown eyes. He is 7 years old with a wealth of energy and enjoys playing fetch and going on his walks. He is house-broken and will scratch the door or will come near you and start circling to let you know he needs out. He grew up with a family of 3 young boys ranging in age from 4-15 years of age. The family has since divorced and sold their home with the older boys having joined the Marines, following in their father's footsteps and hence Semper's name. Lastly, I just wanted to tell this cute story about Semper. One night I was up late and decide to take Semper out through the garage. I grabbed a flashlight and as we walked out into the garage, I turned on the flashlight without turning on the light in the garage. As I walked through the garage, the flashlight shined on the floor and Semper would pounce on the light as I moved it around. He reminded me of a playful little kitten chasing the light around the garage. He will make a great addition to your family, so please call and adopt Semper today!
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
