Rufus is a young man with lots of energy who needs a job. He will thrive in an environment where he can be active alongside his human. Rufus must have an experienced handler. He is not for a novice GSD owner. He gets along well with other dogs but insists on being in charge. He knows basic commands; he sits, lies down, and jumps in the truck to go for a ride. Rufus is currently enrolled in higher education and is going thru training at a very prestigious school. This boy needs a human who will love him and he will love his human three-fold. More information to come as we learn more about this extremely intelligent young man.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
