Hi, I’m new guy Oso, which means bear in Spanish, and maybe because I am Oh so big, too! I am looking for my forever home, and I have a lot to offer! Some people are intimidated by me because I am so big, but I am a total sweetheart. I will bond to you quickly and be very loyal and loving. I will sneak you a kiss if you are not careful, too. I am a bit overweight but my foster Mom is taking me on lots of walks and will make sure my new owners do the same. I am shaping up already! I have had some training, and could use a little refresher course, or someone who will work with me. My foster Mom is just getting to know me, but will update my bio as she really gets to know me better. I probably would not be good in a home with small children or dogs because I am so large I might accidently injure them. So far, I just love everyone I have met! I like to play with other dogs and am learning how to play nicely with them. I do like to chase the ball, and even bring it back sometimes! My foster Mom thinks I should go to home that has had a German Shepherd before and knows the breed well because of my size. So, if you are looking for a lovable, large guy, you just might be my new forever home!
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
