I'm Nikki and I have the cutest brown eyes you've ever seen...my foster mom says I make her melt. I also might be the sweetest dog you've ever met because nothing makes me happier than being around my foster parents and really anyone. My foster mom picked me up two weeks ago and while I was a little nervous in my new home (meeting my foster sister too!) I've really settled in nicely!
I don't have accidents in the house and I know when I'm supposed to get in my crate. My foster mom even trained me to go in there and wait for my food to be poured (because I'm excited about food!) But she taught me in just a few minutes, I'm such a smartie. I bet you could train me to do anything because I'm so sweet and smart.
I really love my meal time! And treats! And you know what? My foster mom says I'm super gentle about taking treats. She's impressed with how sweet I am about it (especially since I REALLY love my food). My foster dad took me out to town lake for a 3 mile run and he said I did great except sometimes I tried to go after the squirrels. He said it wasn't too bad and I told him that I LOVED running with him (with a lick!). It wore me out which is great.
I get along well with my foster sister although sometimes we roughhouse but we mostly love each other and just settle down with the family. I'd be just as happy to be an only child though, I'm pretty flexible (just no cats please) I'm such a sweet girl, I mean really. I just know someone will look at me and melt. I'm easy to train, I love to exercise, and most of all, I just want a family who will love me more than anything in the world. Please come take a look at me, I want to be your forever girl.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog.
