Howdy, my name is Nestle I am 18 month puppy who was born deaf. I watch my foster dad for commands or watch to see what is going on. I want you to know that although I am hearing impaired, it has not slowed me down. I am very aware of what goes on in my foster home and have a blast playing with my resident canine sister, Luna. I like other dogs and would like a canine buddy to keep me company. I enjoy attention from my humans and taking walks around the block. I really like spending time with my human on the couch snuggling. I am very smart, both house trained and crate trained, I know how to use a doggie door.
I am a super dog; just ask my foster dad who brags about me all the time. He has taught me the commands of Sit, No, and back up with hand signals. I am always alert and eager to please. Just like a dog who hears, I will need time and patience to become familiar with my new home. I will learn quickly from your facial expressions, body language, and hand signals. To know me is to love me and I will be your loving companion until the 12th of never and beyond.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
