Lovely Miss Molly changed foster homes when her first foster family moved. She had been living with 2 big dogs and got along fine, and now she is living with 3 small dogs and gets along wonderfully. So … big or small, Molly is relaxed and happy with all her friends. We call her "Mellow Molly" because of her laid back attitude.
She LOVES car rides - just opening a car door is an invitation for her to jump in and look as if she is saying "where are we going?". This sweet girl was a favorite at the vet's office while she got her nails trimmed, ears cleaned and a bath. She makes friends with all the people she meets and gives a great big tail wag hello. She walks nicely on a leash and although her hips don't allow for long walks, she enjoys strolls around the block and saying hello to the neighbors.
If you are looking for an older dog (7-8 years young) with a terrific disposition who will be great company, give a big bark to let you know someone is at the door, and get you outside for a stroll every day, then Molly is your girl. Her house manners are impeccable - she does not need to be crated, she does not get on the furniture, and so far, she has not stolen any food from the countertops.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
