Max is a handsome loving boy who loves to go for walks and stay close to his humans. He bonds quickly, is housetrained, neutered, and fully vetted. While in our foster care he has not been crated and has been a complete gentleman. He gets along with the 4 year resident German Shepherd female, is gentle with children and adults. Max does exceptional at the Meet and Greets he has attended, enjoying the love and attention he received from everyone who saw him and wanted to pet him. Max does like to protect his ball sometimes when the resident canine female wants to take it from him and he is not yet ready to give it up. This is something that we wanted potential adopters to know that we monitor, however there has not been any aggression noted with this behavior. Max has not been exposed to cats during his foster care so we are unable to determine if he is cat friendly.
If you are looking for unconditional love, easy going, and a German Shepherd who is handsome and likes to hang with you, then Max is your boy. Come meet him and you will absolutely fall in love.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
