If you are looking for a peacemaker then I am your girl. I am competitive with my siblings however I am just as content to lay down in my crate and watch the action. Being assertive is something I selectively choose to do, but I am not aggressive. Sharing toys and my food is okay with me...what is not okay is when one of my siblings tries to hog it all, this is when I choose to let them know it is not playing fair. I am crate trained and almost house trained. My favorite thing to do is to jump in the puppy pool and splash like crazy then jump out and run around the yard. Rope toys are fun as well when I can entice tug a war with my siblings. Take me for a car ride and I will sit patient and quiet in the seat or just lay down and listen to the tunes on the radio. Bath time is fun for me and after I get squeaky clean, I get so excited that I am gorgeous and smell sooooo fine that I get this burst of energy which sends me running through the house playing chase with my siblings. I like warm water for my bath and some good smelling shampoo. My forever home will treat me as an equal family member by nurturing my growth, loving me when sometimes it will be hard to, give me a chance to get better everyday through their patience and commitment to me. I promise if you do this, I will be your forever companion, watch over you and protect you, and give you kisses and warmth when times get rough for you. The name Lucy means "light" and I will always be the light at the end of your tunnel. Yes, I am a typical puppy with all that energy and should we choose each other to spend forever with, this will be the sweetest commitment you ever choose to make. Talk to you soon.
Love, Lucy
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
