Kopper enjoys loving and being loved. A very kind and gentle soul who brings a lot of joy and sunshine to everyone he meets. This handsome boy has everything you have always looked for in a companion. Kopper is very human focused and loves to have his human near. He is happy to hang out with you on the patio, watch TV with you, have you pet his head chest and belly, he will even jump right into the tub so you can bathe him...he loves his baths. He enjoys playing ball but likes for you to have 2 balls when you play with him. He likes for you to throw the first ball and let him chase it and bring it back to you, when you tell him "Drop It", he will drop the first ball because he knows you are going to throw the second one. When asked, he will also sit for you so you can lightly toss the ball so he can catch it in his mouth. He will be so proud he caught it; he will run around the yard with it and bring it back when you ask him to do so.
Kopper is a much laid back boy who gets along with other dogs. He is not trustworthy around cats though so we recommend a home without felines. Koppers favorite thing in the world is to love and be loved. He gets so excited when you call his name that his eyes lighten up and he comes immediately running to you with enthusiasm to get and give love. He enjoys holding a Ruff Dawg Crunch Stick Dog Toy between his paws and chew on it while lounging on his comfy pillow. His current medication maintenance is minimal at 1 tsp of digestive enzymes/per cup of food for absorption of nutrients each day and 1/2 of a previcox pill. At 7 years of age, he is a happy playful boy. At 80 lbs., he can pull hard on the leash if determined to get somewhere when you walk him. We are working on his leash manners because of this, however Kopper is very responsive to your voice commands because he just wants to please you and make you happy.
If you have been looking to add an integral family member and great companion, Kopper is one of the kindest, softest, caring, loving companions who will ever cross your path. He will fill your life with joy and sunshine each and every day.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
