Meet Koda! A ton of energy is what he is all about. He is very sweet but can be a handful at times. He is great with other dogs at the dog park and has a great big appetite, of course he likes to eat...he is a slimming 75 lbs at 8 months old. If you look at his ears, you will quickly realize he is going to be one big boy when he grows into them in a year or so (they say everything is bigger in Texas). Very smart however he tends not to want to listen to corrections and will need someone very focused and patient to train him well. He can be very stubborn but if you have the time and make the commitment, he can be trained and will be a wonderful part of your family. He loves chewing the antler bone, absolutely loves it. He will need something like the antler bone to keep his mouth busy while he is still teething. Koda is currently on medications to treat a skin condition when he was rescued and is improving nicely. He is a gorgeous energetic little boy.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
