This is Jojo. He is Half German Shepherd; Half Blue Heeler. I bought him in Buda, TX back in late, 2014. He was already an older puppy when I got him. His mother was the Blue Heeler, very healthy looking, the Father was present also and a very good looking German Shepherd, Jojo definitely got his looks from his dad. He is a very loving, sweet guy.
Great with other animals (cats, dogs, bunnies, etc.) once he gets to know them. He loves affection from adults and is a sucker for doggy peanut butter. He is a great companion to go anywhere with and especially LOVES physical activities. He was raised out in Dripping Springs on LOTS of land and loves to go on hikes and long walks. He can fetch well and play very gently when handling at close range. He has a little bit of separation anxiety, but it can be treated with proper training. He has sensitive skin, but loves oatmeal baths and will sit still for you when needing to clean, maintenance his claws, etc. He is up to date on all his shots and has been neutered. All of his paperwork is with http://www.staroftexasvet.com He is house broken and crate trained. He knows Sit, Wait, and Eat.
He is in need of a home due in part that he has started making guttural sounds and growling at our 7 year old son. Nothing bad has come from this, but I do not want to put anyone's safety at risk. He is not known to have growled or made any guttural sounds towards anyone. He needs a forever home and would make a great companion for a single adult or couple/with older teenagers. My wife and I do not know why he has acted like this since he has known our son all his life. He also makes a great alert dog when someone is at the door, other than that, he is quiet virtually all the time. Thank you.

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
