Someone found Honey in our apartment complex tied up to a tree and had moved her to the dog park, but it was getting dark so I took her in and she has been with us since Nov 2024. We have spent the next few months looking for her owner, but no luck so far. We have decided it's time to rehome Honey and find her a loving home with an experienced owner who can train her to become the goodest gal ever. She's been trained before, so she knows basic commands (sit, down, stay, place, eat, paw) but she still needs to work on walking with the leash and a bit more with separation anxiety. I've been working hard on helping her with her separation anxiety and boost her confidence and she's gotten extremely far compared to when we first got her.
Honey is estimated to be 2-3 years, is 36 lbs and is a medium-sized dog. Very dog friendly and extremely playful, she always love to run around and play with everyone. She can be a bit anxious, but she’s slowly becoming a more confident gal.
I think she'll be happiest in an active home where she can go out often and spend quality time with her forever friend who will set up time to mentally stimulate her with training.
Scheduled to get spayed on April 11. Vaccines up to date!

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
