We are re-homing Harley because she is a great dog and needs more time spent with her than we have to offer. It will be in Harleys best interest to find an active family who is committed to providing professional obedience training and keep her mentally and physically exercised. She is a smart girl and will excel in training. The best home for her will be one in which the owner is home alot to help her develop her skills from puppy hood through adolescence while she matures. She is a very sweet two year old and currently lives with two other GSD's and a small child. Some of her favorite activities include going walking, chasing water from the hose, playing in the lake (as long as her feet touch the ground) although she’s not much for swimming. Occasionally she’ll play catch, mostly she’ll hold on to the ball though. She is very energetic and could play for hours! Harley is very fast and agile and enjoys running. She’ll also let you know when she needs something, for example she’ll nudge you when she wants to go outside, or wants to play. Although she is not currently housebroken and can escape a crate, we believe with positive reinforcement and a little bit of patience she will learn quickly.

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
