Ginger is a petite, very sweet and playful German Shepherd girl. She gets along well with other dogs and with kids. She is watchful and has a nice "big girl bark" but isn't aggressive. She is a little suspicious of strangers, but once she is properly introduced she is more than happy to make friends. Ginger loves pets, love, and affection. She has a good temperament and hasn't shown any signs of separation anxiety. A medium-energy Shepherd, she is good with a couple of solid play sessions, or one good walk and play session per day. Once her exercise needs are met, she is happy to lay around and watch you work or sit next to you on the couch while you watch a show. She doesn't mind being crated and will sleep through the night in her kennel. Ginger would be happy to have a family all to herself or with another dog to play with, but doesn't do well with kitties.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
