Hi everyone, my name is Ebony and I am a very rambunctious young lady who just wants to love, cuddle and kiss on my humans. Whenever you are loving on me, I like to do these little moans to let you know that I love you. I am just now learning how to play with toys and boy are there a lot of them at my foster mom's house. My first day here I managed to fall into the pool and now I love to play on the top step and prance around. I am not too sure about swimming yet, but I have swam a couple of times.
I am an alpha female and want to rule the roost, however, my foster mom is working on teaching me that I am not the boss, I am pretty stubborn but, trying to learn. I am still pretty skinny, but in time I will fill out to be a gorgeous dog. I walk very well on a leash with my foster brother and sisters and get very excited when I see that leash is coming out and we are getting to go walking.
I have not yet decided if I want to be friendly to kitties, I really want to just chase them around. I can sit with them and next to them as long as they don't talk to me, but the minute they talk to me, I want to chase them around the house and into their gated room. I don't want to hurt them, but I think the kitties think I do, so they run and then I run and it is a fun little game.
I am just now learning how to play with other dogs, and share. It's been a bit of a challenge learning to share, however, I am now doing really good at it, but I am still a bit pushy and just need a strong person to love me and teach me everything right from wrong. I don't really bark alot except for when my foster brothers and sisters aren't doing what I want them to do or they are barking at something outside. I don't really know what they are barking at, but if they are barking, I just can't help but join in.
Please come meet me and let me be your new best friend.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog.
