Meet amazing Darbie! Would you believe at 6 months of age she has proven to be housetrained and crate trained while in our care. This is one intelligent girl. She is so human focused, just wants to please, and is always giving lots of kisses. Her foster mom says she absolutely loves to play with her ball and herds all of her stuffed toys around her. She likes to put one big toy in her mouth and use it to scoot all the other toys along the floor to where she wants them all to be. Extremely intelligent, has not shown any food or toy aggression. Her big canine older brother Auggie loves to spoil her and watch over her letting her be the cute little darling she is.
Darbie is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. Darbie is recovering from a skin condition she encountered prior to coming into our care. She is doing great, just has a few areas around her legs where the hair is growing back nicely.
She loves to love and be loved. She should have a playmate in her forever home to work out her puppy energy and continue her interaction and socialization. She is fabulous with your voice commands, understands "No" and sometimes gets a little pouty when she think she is in trouble. When she pouts she normally will give you a kiss as if to say "I am working on it mom". A lovely girl who will bring surmountable joy and love.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog.
