Meet Ben! Ben is still very much a puppy and does all the puppy things that come along with that such as chewing, playing, sleeping, etc. (he has only chewed once). Very high energy and will require someone or another pup that can play with him and give him lots of attention. He is exposed to smaller dogs and does well most of the time. Has not been reactive to them but will try to play which the smaller dogs don’t like. He will also require lots of snuggling. Do not expect him to like a crate, although he will go in, but howls.
This is a typical GSD- intelligent, curious, loves humans and very loyal. Gets along very well with the other GSD’s. There have not been any accidents with Ben, seems to have been potty trained already. Sit, Stay and come are already established, although he does not always listen probably due to 20 month old GSD playing with him.
He would do well in a house with other dogs. I’m sure if he were to be the only pup he would like that also. BEN WILL MAKE SOMEONE VERY LUCKY AND HAPPY TO HAVE HIM. All around sweet and incredibly smart boy!!!!
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
