Let me introduce myself as Bailey. I am very special and some times magical. I am an overseer of all my canine brothers and sisters. A sweet loving girl who can quickly take charge at a moments notice especially when my two sisters start playing too rough, I have to jump in the middle and intervene. Considered a free spirit because I love to explore the unknown and get involved. I am pretty much fearless and have an exponential curiosity about my surroundings. I love to be held and petted but can not imagine ever being a total couch potato, although I do enjoy settling down at night on the sofa with my siblings and foster parents to watch TV. I am proud to be crate trained because it gives me my personal space to retreat to when I need it. I also like sleeping on my pillow outside of my crate. I enjoy car rides and do very well in this area. Before you apply to adopt me, remember I am still a puppy who is still figuring out my way in life. I will need a family who will provide a soft tender love and support with a firm direction. This will allow me to mature both emotionally and physically. I am such a love bug behind the scenes. You will love my personality. Actually, I think I am the best ever, lack of confidence is not an issue with me at all. I also have a very shiny pretty coat.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
