Start 2014 off to the best year ever with Annie! This gorgeous girl could not be any sweeter. She has the best soulful expression and the disposition to match. She is estimated to be fairly young at only about 2, but she has a very manageable activity level. So far, she has gotten along well with other dogs, big and small, but she does not fair well with cats. Annie is incredibly sweet to the resident female GSD and constantly licks her face and ears, but also will not put up with nonsense! She has a great blend of submissive nature, while making sure to stand up for herself. Annie likes to drink with one paw in the water bowl and is very delicate with her eating and drinking. She is not food or toy aggressive and loves to play with tennis balls!!!! She gently gives her toy as soon as you reach for it – the same goes for rawhides. Annie is gentle beyond words and would be fantastic in a family with small children. She knows sit, shake and down. Annie is crate trained and currently is only crated when no humans are home. It was quickly discovered that she has quite the nose and enjoys a good counter surf if left to her own devices! She loves to lay in the sun and sticks close by when outside in the yard. She won’t let you lay on the couch without giving her pets and gently gives you a paw if you stop too soon. Typical of most Shepherds, Annie loves to talk – groans are her expression of choice ☺ Annie is incredibly easy to correct and listens extremely well. I have been shocked with how quickly she learns and how much she wants to please. She will be a lasting family member and provide more love than you can ask for! Annie will not disappoint you, so please ask to meet her and experience the gentle love she has to give.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
