Meet Alexis, a sweet loving girl who is housetrained and crate trained. She loves to take a bath and be clean. She will sit in the tub and let you massage her. One of Alexis favorite thing to do is lay close by you on the couch and watch TV. She loves to chase squirrels and rabbits so when you take her on a walk you will need to keep an eye out for these two critters and hold onto the leash. A very quiet and loving girl for sure who desires to be near you and have you love on her. She is cautious and reserved around strangers but as long as they have a treat to give her, she quickly warms up. Alexis corrects very easily and will be attentive in commands with her human pack leader. We are still working on helping her walk nicely on a leash and not pull. She learns very quickly and is one smart girl.
Alexis would do very well in a home where she is the only dog or maybe has a compatible companion. She will make an integral family member for the owner who can solely focus on helping her feel secure in an environment where she will not have to compete for attention and time.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
